Architectures- Inspirations

I also gained ideas from several architectures which are shown below.

Kamil Mrva Architects

Kamil Mrva Architects

Mrva Architects take on projects that are all inclusive from design to completion, commercial to residential, public space and more.

The also take care of every aspect of a project and take every step necessary to ensure that the process is smooth, from proposing an idea to drawing documentation and supervision during the construction.

Their studio which is placed in Kojetin, Czech Republic.

AUX studio

AUX studio

This Aux studio made of old barn and than renovated to be a modern architecture studio named AUX. An Architect purpose to make an old barn as small family as house in the future. Structure of this house made from solid sandstone walls and pillars from 1862 have been preserved. This inner wooden building opens to the south and west with glass walls. A distinct element of the composition is a terrace projecting out over the slopping terrain of the garden. A studio architecture design consist of a kitchenette, sitting room and a place for sleeping and working. A kitchen, dining room, sitting room with a study and a bedroom with a bathroom are designed in the living space. On the terrace there is a covered space for sitting in the summer and a sunny plank projecting outward. The project was designed using natural materials. The terrace consists of steel girders and a wooden deck.

UAX Bernartice

The building's original layout was preserved. Only its main entrance was moved, which is now located in the new extension. The extension and the original structure are unified into a single whole with the help of facade made of wooden lamellas. The structural modifications were designed with a view to the building's surroundings; the extension respects the line of the street and the resulting structure creates an interesting contrast with the adjacent chapel.

Bohlin Cywinski:

Bohlin Cywinski Jackson, founded in 1965, has offices in Wilkes-Barre, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Seattle and San Francisco. The firm’s work is known for exceptional design, for its commitment to the particularity of place and user, and for an extraordinary aesthetic based on a quiet rigor which is both intellectual and intuitive.

The firm’s work ranges greatly in scale and circumstance. Its architecture is alive to the subtleties of place — man-made or natural, to the varied natures of people, to the sensibilities of individuals, to the character of institutions, and to the rich possibilities of materials and the means of construction.

Bohlin Cywinski Jackson has received more than 460 regional, national and international awards for design. In 1994, the practice received the Architecture Firm Award from the American Institute of Architects. The firm’s work is published regularly in professional journals worldwide.

He claims that, this is a time in which belief is often overwhelmed by exponential change. Even in the most serious architectural circles, intellectual games and superficial dogma can take the place of affirmation, and the mediocrity and deadness of much of our environment continue to spread.

Yet, in all of our surroundings there is great richness and power. Belief in the sensuality of place, the emotive qualities of materials, and the ability to give pleasure and insight, to comfort, and to transport, can produce humane and spirited architecture. It is our belief that exceptional architecture comes from the search for solutions which respond to the particular circumstances inherent in each situation.

Increasingly, we have come to see that, in a sense, circumstances are infinite and that working within any one set of habits is too limiting. We must be alive to the subtleties of place, whether manmade or natural; to the varied nature of humans and their particular activities; to the qualities of their institutions; and to the nature of the means with which we build. With both intellect and intuition, we seek solutions that respond to the web of circumstances at hand.

Over the years the interplay of architects within our practice and our responses to more complex and demanding programs and varied environments have broadened our view of the circumstances that affect our work. We are peeling away the layers of our habits and preconceptions. We require open-mindedness, willingness, gentleness - a soft, yet no-holds-barred approach.

Dental School Building

University of Maryland, Baltimore, Maryland

The design of the new dental school required accommodation on many levels. It is a densely urban project, institutional in character and complex in its technical, social and organizational requirements. The challenge was to design a $104 million, state-of-the-art oral health clinical research and teaching facility, while responding to the needs of its multiple users?faculty, students, researchers and patients.

The design strategy organizes 360,000 sf of program space, placing educational and clinical areas closer to the ground on the lower five levels, and more restricted research areas on the upper four levels. An extensive infrastructure for mechanical, electrical, and information technology services runs along a central spine, ganging considerable trunk and distribution lines as compactly as possible. Having fulfilled the functional and technical requirements, Bohlin Cywinski Jackson examined massing and spatial options to formulate a strategy for evoking the building program's intangible qualities.
